PorColombia

The UM Chapter of PorColombia began in 1982 as the “Colombian Students Association” and has evolved into a strong network of proud students at the University of Miami. While one of the goals is to unite and represent Colombian students, PorColombia is not nationality exclusive and welcomes anyone who might relate to our culture. Through cultural, professional, and philanthropic initiatives, PorColombia aims to educate and raise awareness of present and future opportunities to build a stronger and dynamic community where friendships that last a lifetime are formed.

“To enable students at the University of Miami to network and collaborate through academic, cultural, social, and philanthropic activities that benefit Colombia, its members, and community, while uniting and representing the Colombian students at the University of Miami. To help 1st, 2nd generation Colombian-Americans and ancestral Colombians to reconnect with their culture. To help Colombians studying outside Colombia to feel at home. To help all members be more involved and engaged on campus.”
